About Me

Hello Everyone,

I am Cihan, a Staff Research Scientist at Apple AIML, Zurich. Prior to joining Apple, I was a Research Scientist (Team Lead) at Meta Reality Labs, Zurich, working on Input and Action recognition. Before that, I was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) of University of Surrey, working on Sign Language Recognition and Translation under the supervision of Prof. Richard Bowden and Dr. Simon Hadfield, and a Research Assistant at Perceptual Intelligence Laboratory (PILAB) of Bogazici University under the supervision of Prof. Lale Akarun.

My research interests include, but are not limited to, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, AR/VR, Mixed Reality, and Sign Language Recognition and Translation.
